Your school have just celebrated Teacher’s day. Write a description of how this event was celebrated.
Teacher’s day was celebrated on Sunday, 25 May in my school. This was is very important event because on this day we can show our appreciation for all that  the teachers do for us.
They also started off with a special assembly for the teachers and the students. This assembly was also attended by the Chairman and several committee members of the  Parent- Teacher Association. There were special  speeches read out on behalf of the Minister  of  Education and the  Director of  Education.  These were followed by a speech  from the  Chairman  of the Parent- Teacher  Association who spoke on the  importance  of  teacher in society and thanked them  for their dedication.  The Head Girl also gave a speech. There was a cake-cutting session after  this. There was a huge butter cake in the form of a book, presented by the students of the school. This was followed by the presentation of presents to all our teachers from the various clubs and societies.
After the assembly, there was a ‘telematch’ organized for the teachers  and members  of the different clubs and societies. Each group comprised  five teachers and five students.  Many fun  activities  were organized  which included  coconut bowling, water balloons, and chopstick  javelin. The last event  was  dressing up one  members into a model. The teachers and the participating  students  had loads of fun and hilarious moments . We had a lot of fun watching them taking part in all the activities. The best event was the dressing-the-model event as all the groups chose a male students  to dress up  and put on make up. There were really creative and innovative in using whenever materials there were given. There was a catwalk for the ‘models’ to strut around as the judges gave the marks. The best group was born by Prefect Board.

We then proceeded to the school hall for a con cert that was again specially organized for our beloved teachers. The hall was beautifully decorated with ballons and bunting. There were many dance items, songs, sketches and a portal recital. A big backdrop  with a huge heart adorned the wall of the hall with hundreds of signatures and wishes from the students. There was a huge colourful banner that hung down from the ceiling  with the words ‘WE LOVE YOU TEACHAERS. YOU LIGHT UP OUR LIVES’. The audience was thrilled and the teachers were moved by the performances and the effort put in to make this day a memorable one.
This were followed by a special lunch given to a teachers. Everyone  had so much fun. Some students went around giving cards, flowers, presents, and hugs their respective teachers. These were touching moments as teachers and students hugged or shook hands as friends.
